April Showers.....

 Good morning

I thought I would get this card in, that I have made, before the end of April. I love using up older papers and stamps I have, the stamps you would never get rid of. An old favourite from Woodware, and the papers from a collection from My Minds Eye, Quite Contrary.

Close up..

I have used a 14.5cm Square Deckled Edged white card:-

I added the striped paper to the main card leaving a small white edge all around. I then added a matching paper slightly smaller. I stamped out the image with a black Versafine ink pad and embossed with clear embossing powder. Die cut the image using a square, stitched die and coloured with Promarkers. Add to the card as in the picture. Stamped out the Umbrella again and the two smaller Umbrellas. Colour the large Umbrella and emboss with the clear embossing powder. Cut out the Umbrellas and add to the card with foam. Add a greeting.

Thinking of You Card...

I recently made a card 'Thinking of You' for someone who had lost a very close relative. These are cards we don't often want to be make. Subtle colours are often the best colours to use, so I have used a Ranger Distress Oxide 'Peeled Paint'. A very subtle green.

Close up...

I used a 7"x5" White base card.
Inked the card with the Distress Oxide ink over the front of the card with a background stamp from Craftwork cards. Cut out a white rectangle using the stamp die set. I inked up the inside of an Embossing Folder 'Sycamore' and ran it through the embossing machine with the white rectangle. It gives a very delicate imprint of the tree. I stamped a greeting at the bottom of the tree and then made two holes either side of the trunk to thread some string through. Tie into a bow. Add the rectangle to the main card on foam.

Easter Card...

 Hi there,

Just posting a quick post of an Easter card I made for a friend. I used a circle die for the base and folded it in the centre and an egg shaped die for the top half of the card.

Cut a slightly smaller circle in yellow card and cut in two for the bottom of the card. I embossed with a grass Embossing folder before attaching to the card. Cut out a smaller egg shape with patterned paper and attach to the main egg shape, and attach as in the picture. Stamp out the bunny, colour and cut out. Add to the card. I die cut the lace border in yellow card and threaded yellow satin ribbon through the slats. Add across the centre of the card and finish with a bow with the satin ribbon. Add a couple of Die cut leaves. Add a greeting and finish off with Liquid Pearls on the flowers.

I used white card for the main card.

Daisy Trail....

 Hello there

Today's theme is the lovely Daisy flower, which are appearing up and down now that Spring has arrived

I have used a Daisy stamp set from Cardio Majestix on a Kraft card so as the white of the Daisies stands out.

Close up......

I have used a 6"x6" Kraft card and die-cut an oval from the centre.

Stamp around the oval cut out, on the main card, with a few of the Daisy stamps, using the Versamark ink pad.
Cover with white embossing powder and heat to set. Stamp the flower stamps with a blue ink pad and the leaves with a green ink pad then heat with clear embossing powder. Add Yellow Liquid Pearls to the centre of the white Daisies and a white liner pen to the blue Daisies. Die -cut a smaller white scalloped oval for the centre of the card, stamping a greeting and the Daisy stamps, using the blue ink pad. Attach to the centre of the card on the inside back. I have added another greeting on the Kraft card with the white embossing powder. Make a running stitch around the main card and the centre oval with a white liner pen.
