Happy Birthday Flower Strips....

 Good Afternoon

My design today is made up of strips of left over papers which co ordinate together.

Close up:-

I started with a 6" Square white card tent style. Cut five strips of different papers just short of 15cm (the width of my card) x 3.5cm. I used a border punch along the lower edge of the papers. Before I attach them to the card I threaded some button thread threw one of the borders, fourth border down, as in the picture. Attach the strips one on top of the other leaving a 2.5cm gap at the bottom and 3cm gap at the top. Cut a piece of contrasting plain card Approx. 15cm x 2cm and emboss a greeting, add to the card leaving a 2cm gap at the top. Make a paper rose using a circle spiral, add to the card with three punched out leaves behind it. Finish off with three matching pearls at the other end of the greeting.

Baby Time...

 Good Evening,

I have designed two cards the same but, then different colours, depending on whether you require a baby girl card or baby boy card.

Close up on both cards:-

I used small 5"x 5" Scalloped white cards.

Die-cut 15 small square dies from from contrasting papers ,i.e. pink and purple for the girls and blue and beige for the boys. Attach them to the main card, 4 in a row apart from the bottom row where there are only 3. Stamp out your baby character onto beige spotted card, 8cm x 7cm using a grey Versafine Clair Ink pad. Emboss with clear embossing powder. (I have stamped an Elephant from a Lili of the Valley stamp) Colour with a fine grey pen around the Elephant as in the picture. Die-cut in a co ordinating card, the scalloped frame that fits over the stamped image. Inside frame 8cm x 7cm the outside edge being straight 10.5cm x 8.5cm. I used pink card for the girl but used the beige again for the boys card. Stick down the stamped image and then the frame on foam. I tied a few button threads around the frame which you have to do before you attach the frame to the card. Stamp out the balloon again in contrasting colour. Add a greeting at the bottom right edge of the card. Add Liquid Pearls to the shadow on the balloon and add a matching bow.
