Shades of Purple...

 Good afternoon

I have designed a card with the theme of Violets for February. The flower for February, but as I couldn't find an appropriate flower stamp for the job, I thought I would used the colour to make this card instead.

Wilted Violet is the Distress Oxide Ink Pad I have used from the Ranger Tim Holtz collection. A lovely colour it is too.

I cut out the main stamped imaged and inked around the edges. Added the sheer ribbon at the bottom and made into a bow before attaching to the main card, leaving enough room to stamp the words.

I cut out the small butterfly that I stamped and embossed to lift the card.

Ideal for a birthday, anniversary or get well card.

I have used a white DL card.

I continued the stamping along the back of the card too.

Sid the Second is here to stay..

 Good afternoon

Sid the Second is finally finished. Didn't quite find this second one as easy as the first for some reason. I kept dropping a stitch and because of the fluffy texture, I couldn't find where the dropped stitch was. It was a shade darker wool too, so not sure if that had anything to do with it. Had a bit of patching up to do, but you can't see it.

Looking a little fuller round the middle than the first Sid. That was due to my daughter adding extra filling. Looks nice and chilled though.

Looking forward to my next project. Till then take care.
Thank you for popping by.

Crafty Makes In January....

Hi there,

Always nice to keep busy with some craft or other through the winter months. I started with a knitted Koala Bear, who now sits on my shelf in my craft room. A kit that was gifted to me. It was a boxed kit that included everything to make up the bear and probably more. Duttons for Buttons is the kit and although the bear was easy to knit it wasn't quite as easy to sew the pieces together.

I have knitted lots of items, but haven't knit too many toys before.

The Boxed Kit includes wool and Knitting needles.

This is the lovely result.

Going to make Sid the Second as my daughter now wants one.........

Second of my January crafty makes is a present.
Knitted Hat and Snood.

Using 2 Balls of Rico Melange Chunky.

The knitted Snood was made from one hundred gram ball. Patons Fab DK.

Both the wool and the spotted Pom Pom I got from Delta Wools.

I have also knit my daughter a black hat with a Leopard style Pom Pom, and in the process of knitting
another speckled Snood like the one in the picture.

Happy crafting
and thank you for popping by.
